Why is it important to always cut your flower stems? 💐
Cutting your flower stems is really important because it improves water uptake. When flowers are cut the stems can dry out and become blocked which prevents the stem from taking up water. Recutting the stems at an angle allows the flowers to drink up water and nutrients more efficiently. We always do this when we get a fresh flower delivery but also when we are changing the water in our vases so it encourages the stems to take up the fresh clean water.
Cutting the stems also prevents decay and odours. Flower stems can start to decay in water and this can lead to some unpleasant smells, so cutting your stems and changing the waters every couple of days will help prevent this. 💐

How I propagate my spider plants 😍 once you know how, it becomes addictive!
I use Westland house plant potting mix to repot all my houseplants. Spider plants are one of the easiest house plants to propagate and that’s one of the main reasons why I love them! Another reason being they are super easy to care for!
